This lil book gave me exactly what I was missing during the folk of air trilogy, a look into Cardan’s mind. All during the other books I wondered what his true feelings about Jude were, when the shift from hatred to love started happening, and just his perspective on events. This filled the gaps wonderfully. I enjoyed the short stories that gave more context, and the illustrations added a sense of life to it. Short but enjoyable read.
