Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
by Ransom Riggs
I was really expecting more out of this one. The hype that was around this book when it was initially released was enormous that it is difficult to measure up years later.
Even though I'm pretty patient with books, this was moved so slowly. It wasn't until more than halfway through the book that we get any answers and that is just too long to wait. There's a reason why I put this book down for almost two years and this is one of them.
No characters popped out to me, except maybe for Emma and Millard, but that's only because they're the only characters with a semblance of a personality.
I applaud Riggs for trying to come up with a story using all of these photos, but unfortunately the execution doesn't match the method.
