The Good
I liked that this book began with actual enemies in enemies to lovers who then began to understand each other. Floriane and Ruvan were both very interesting characters with their own convictions and were both very level headed. I liked the writing style a lot, it had many phrases that had me kicking and twirling my feet. I found the plot interesting during important moments and wished those happened more frequently. The last 75% where the pacing ramped up was amazing.

The Bad
The book was too slow and too long. It was at times tough to get through because it was so long, especially the beginning where I felt a lot of repetition and things that could be cut. By 50% through I still wanted to know what happens but I felt as though it was going to take forever to actually get there and it felt exhausting to read. I needed the pace to be a lot faster. I understand the lore and exposition needed to be told but it weighed down the book a lot.
