Believe Me
by Tahereh Mafi
Started off iffy and got so much better. Man I love Kenji. Warner too, of course, but Kenji’s got some great lines. And the bromanceee I mean. “‘You’re not coming with me?’ […] ‘Yeah,’ he says finally. ‘Of course I’m coming with you.’”
“ ‘Kenji.’ ‘Yes?’ ‘Thank you, I say, still staring at Ella. For everything.’”
I also really really feel Warner’s response to personal vows: “‘If you want to write your own vows, stand in front of a ton of people—most of whom you hardly know—and tell Juliette her face reminds you of a sunrise, no problem. Castle is flexible.’ ‘I would rather impale myself on a pike.’”
I think it could have been a little shorter, and Warner seemed a bit OOC, but ultimately really cute and I liked it.
