I always love T. Kingfisher's main characters. They feel real to me. People I'd love to be friends with in real life. Sam is no exception - and she has a really cool job, too. In the end, this wasn't my favorite Kingfisher, but I did have a lot of fun with it. 3.75 stars, rounded up.
