This was a lot more grittier and raw than most YA books and that's why I'm giving it a higher rating than I normally would. There's injustice, grief, action, and so many themes going on that this is an emotional read. I loved Chap and Aris' characters and that storyline. I will say that I believe there's maybe a few too many characters introduced, but overall, I loved the darker take on YA genre.
