I LIKED it... I didn't love it. Here's why...

First of all, I think Jonah and Calla lacked chemistry. Not completely, but it wasn't hot and intense and THERE. It was bland. Didn't really capture my attention as much as I would have liked. Granted, there were some cute and flirty moments but overall, no... which is why I'm hoping the next two books will feature more of their chemistry and hopefully build on it and develop it because it was largely flat.

Jonah kind of pissed me off because he hid her luggage from her for days and didn't give it back to her until she found it. Then, he hid her makeup from her and told her she looked better without it. Why though??? That wasn't funny or flirty or sexy and went beyond enemies to lovers; both things were just plain cruel. Also, he made fun of her for only drinking soy milk, when she has an actual dairy allergy. Rude.

There was no smut in this. There was making out and implied actions, but it basically cuts to the next morning or the next scene. That's it.

That all being said, I'm going to keep reading this series and hopefully it gets better instead of being mediocre. I want to continue Jonah and Calla's story and see where they end up. I just hope the author fleshed them out more and makes me happy for them at the end of the third book, or else I'm going to feel like it's a colossal waste of my time.
