The world building is amazing, I can't even fathom what our world would be like if it was like this. Having the Thunderhead be the controlling part of the universe, being concerned with gleaning, and a myriad of other issues.

Shusterman creates such a great story that you can't help but speed read to the end. His characters are complicated, intense, and without remorse.
