Quit Your Pitchin'
by Lani Lynn Vale
This is going to be a hard review. You see, I LOVED the first book in this series, Pitch Please, and this second book had me hooked right away. However, the romance/story moved really fast, and before we were even halfway through, it took a really, really sad turn. And then, it just seemed to keep getting more depressing! So many bad things happened to George and Wrigley, I had a lot of tears with this one. In the end, they still got their HEA, but it was an emotionally wringing story. I'm glad I read it. I really did like George. But Wrigley's family, especially her brother, well he sucked. And her sister, well, it was hard to decide on her. Because when I say it felt like it moved pretty quickly, there were some parts of the story that we only got a quick retelling from the characters about what went down, and I think I'd have liked to have that more fleshed out in the story. If you enjoy sports romance, especially with hot baseball players, you need to read this series. Just prepare to cry with this one.
