Kaling is a great narrator of the audiobook version; her comedic timing is impeccable and her impressions are amusing. I liked hearing snippets about her life and adventures; it felt like reading the blog posts of a friend and less like hearing about a celebrity. I think what fell flat for me was that Kaling spent so much time being self-deprecating that I, who've admittedly never watched the Office, began to wonder why she was so famous in the first place. Her stories were definitely amusing, but I didn't feel they were interesting enough to warrant a book.
