This was… not great tbh

I liked the magic, the world was cool, the lore was interesting, the plot was decent (although everything was super convenient and over the top on the dramatics). But the romance really killed it for me. It was awkward and dramatic, with a completely unnecessary love triangle thrown in for good measure. And it took up so much of this book! This could have been a great book with a fun adventure if not for all of that
