I'm not big into books about prom and the, what I think of as, overly fairytale like aspect of it. I did enjoy this book, the characters are wonderful and the writing is very well done. It's just not 100% my cup of tea.
Definitely a wonderfully queer book and something I know people who would love it as they do love books like these.
