While I'm glad to have reread this book I do think Between the World and Me lost some of its impact in audiobook for me. There is something wonderful about hearing Coates words in his own intonation but the audiobook format didn't give me the space to pause and reflect on Coates words in the ways a physical edition might. This weakened the experience for me a touch.

But despite that, I still enjoyed experiencing this work again.
