love having a ~controversial~ opinion... i did not enjoy the format of this book and found the constant pov switches to detract from the characterization. i also took a giant 6 month break after reading 70% of the book and came back to finish it as an audiobook bc i needed that momentum and found i really did not form a bond with any of the characters nor did i find the namesake concept of martyrdom to be well explored by the cast.
