A lovely child-like adventure. I think I expected this to be more "serious" and "adult" than it is, which is why I was a little put off by the ending - just too saccharine sweet for me. Nothing wrong with it per se, just a grand tone change to the positive that I felt was far too sudden. It was still a mostly satisfying read though. Reminds me of Trenton Lee Stewarts style of writing - not sure if cerulean is meant to be a book for adults or older children anymore.
