Dark Matter
by Blake Crouch
Holy moly. As a very rare science fiction fan, this one blew me away. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
But let’s back up! Let me start by saying I got this on a kindle deal a year ago. And I had heard about this book over and over and over. Yet I just never picked it up. I was worried about the hype and the science “stuff”. Well shame on me for letting this book sit for so long!
Being with only a kindle until July 13, I have been digging into a lot of backlist. After hearing about it again on Instagram, I turned my kindle on and started reading. And put 38% of the book down before going to bed. Then woke up and read the rest before waking my husband up to get breakfast. I needed to know.
I. NEEDED. TO. KNOW.
And it was so, so good. Crouch did a great job of explaining the science enough to move the plot and assist the plot in being AMAZING, but not to the point where I was getting lost. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes any type of the following fictions: science fiction (duh), thriller, suspense or contemporary fiction.
