bookishdaydreaming 's review for:
You're the One That I Want
by Giovanna Fletcher
This was an easy read, and it did draw you in and make it hard to put down at points.
However, I am not a lover of love-triangle tropes, and I felt my insides dying a slow death as I realised how the story was turning out. I thought it was slightly toxic, very "I'm not like other girls" at times (especially early on), and had strong pick-me vibes.
If the love triangle actually manifested properly I would have given this two stars, but because it was never fully realised I can stretch to three. For me, not my favourite Giovanna Fletcher book.
