I somehow missed this book in it’s Reading Rainbow days. I love this story because it is told exactly like a kid would tell it. How was the class trip. It was boring...until…. You have to pull each little part of the story out of the child in a backward timeline. Its funny, its adorable, and its perfectly illustrated by the master Steven Kellogg. No wonder this book was a Reading Rainbow hit that is still heavily read today.
