I absolutely loved every moment of this Regency-inspired fantasy romance. It’s a perfect blend of humor, heart, and sizzling chemistry that kept me grinning and kicking my feet until the very last page.

King Ehmet is an irresistible protagonist—his exhaustion, wit, and vulnerability make him a relatable and endearing royal. His struggle to balance duty, family pressures, and his longing for freedom feels refreshingly human amidst the magical backdrop. And then there’s Lady Hevva—a breath of fresh air. Her unapologetic independence and disdain for noble scheming make her a wonderfully modern heroine. She’s sharp, bold, and utterly captivating.

The banter between Ehmet and Hevva is pure magic. Their “series of delightful mishaps” are not only hilariously entertaining but also beautifully build their connection, turning their chance encounters into a love story brimming with tension and charm. From their witty exchanges to their fiery moments of passion, every interaction between them feels like a spark ready to catch fire.

What sets The Reluctant Queen apart is its flawless mix of romance, humor, and fantasy. The world building is vibrant yet subtle, allowing the characters to shine while still immersing readers in a rich, magical setting. I definitely recommend this if you're a fan of Regency romance, like Bridgerton, magical worlds, and laugh out loud, slow burn love stories with characters you’ll fall hopelessly in love with! I cannot WAIT for the second book!
