A Mother Would Know
by Amber Garza
I really appreciated how this story delved into the themes of motherhood and Alzheimer's. However, the ending was so confusing and unbelievable that it overshadowed the strengths of the story. The first twist surprised me, even though it wasn't entirely convincing, and the second twist was completely nonsensical. Supernatural elements didn't seem necessary.
Because of the ending, I'm seriously considering a 2-star rating, but I'll stick with 3 stars for the overall worth of the story. I'll attribute the confusing ending to the unreliable narrator.
