“Fat people can be interested in exercise and fitness without it meaning they don’t like themselves”

This book follows Britta and Wes whose love develops around fitness, self love, and perseverance. Britt works for a lifestyle blog and part of her assignment is to review an app where Wes is the CEO and the story goes from there.

I will say that this love story was a bit instant lovey. They went from strangers to friends fairly quickly but then it was a somewhat slow burn from there. The book contains the one bed trope, soulmate trope, forced proximity trope, and friends to lovers. They also have the meet cute moment through the workout app

I enjoy how the author was able to include body positive alongside the reality of being a fat person in our society today. She looks at fat phobia and how that can impact an individual not only physically but mentally.

I loved the representation and affirmations this book gave me as the reader. It was beyond amazing. I could only hope to have a friend like Britta and a partner like Wes ❤️
