nicolealycia 's review for:
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
by Annie Barrows, Mary Ann Shaffer
This book is told from multiple POVs through letters. The letters made it fun and unique because you got to hear from all the different characters and you got to know what they were thinking. The only downside to a story being told this way is it sometimes lacks a larger plot and I feel like this book was missing that. It was about Juliet and Guernsey and the literary society and the German occupation.
Overall it was a cute story that I would definitely recommend! It’s a quick and easy read, it’s pretty light hearted with some serious mixed it. And I can’t wait for the Netflix movie!
