The Walrus Who Escaped (English) by Sean Qitsualik-Tinsley, Anthony Brennan, Rachel Qitsualik-Tinsley
2.0

I didn’t particularly like this book, which is sad because the illustrations are awesome!!! In a why it is a type of Just So Story that tells the reader how the Walrus got his tusks. But it is a sad story of bullying and being mean. And in the end there is no “let’s be friends”. Instead there was still a separation, and a walrus wink. Plus you have this ‘strength of the land’ idea that while weird at first, works with the story well. But the ending is so up in the air and depressing that this book goes on the bye-bye pile.
