Again, I love a retelling, and this one I enjoyed more. It wasn't a book that a lot really happened in, and the stark differences in the linear plot was interesting. I did feel like a bit of a dummy, because at one point there's an admission by a character that's basically left unsaid, and my interpretation of it was completely different than it actually was which really changed how I read the book. Once I got to the end, and realized my mistake, I wished I had picked up on that when I originally read it! It made me like the book a lot more, and gave a really great backstory to an otherwise bland and boring character from The Great Gatsby.
