I wanted to love this so badly but in the end it just didn’t wow me like I hoped it would. For me a romantasy has to do both the fantasy and the romance well, and I just felt like this story lacked in both aspects. I wasn’t super invested in the relationship, the characters felt a bit flat and some of the decisions, particularly at the end, just didn’t make sense to me 😭

I did still enjoy the book enough to read the whole thing and I loved the concept of the story, but the execution just left me wanting so much more.
