This book started off sooo good and the premise is also super interesting but it fell off at the end for me; but the wholesome bits were nice I guess. I feel like 30 years is a long time to let past before solving a crime.
I was also hoping there would be more ghost aspects but as soon as they said Andy was off the grid I knew it had to be him. Ethan was kind of dumb for thinking the ball thing was only known between him and Billy when Andy was always just there. But I guess I can let it slide since he wasn't in a great state of mind. The Claudia twist was unexpected and very sad, especially since he changed his mind, but at least he gets Henry! Also damn Ashley just messed up so many lives for YEARS, she should have come clean and I know she mentioned that Henry was why but he was only 10, she had 20 years before him to fess up. Then she was all there for Ethan like she didn't kill his bestfriend and make him think someone took him? Wild.
I wish the Hawthorne Institute had more spooky roots and that they went into more detail about Johnny.
I wish Ragesh had a chance to talk to him and figure things out with him, that was rough.
Overall the characters were complex and fun but it didn't go in a way I wish it did.
