A great historical overview of the history of Israel, Zionism and Palestine. I learned a lot while reading this but was very thankful for any background information that I had going into this. This is a very dense read and the author tends to go through historical points quickly which can make keeping up difficult at times.

Reading about Palestinian history from a Palestinian perspective is imperative. Zionism relies on the erasure of Palestine and its people. This makes this read even the more important for Americans like myself to read.
