Maybe murder mysteries just aren't for me, but I found the MC very whiny and childish. The amount of foot stamping, sighing,  eye rolling, and actual groaning made her seem like a teenager more than a fully grown adult trying to solve a murder. And the love interests are very one dimensional, just like all the side characters, which made none of it very interesting to me.
