First, let me say that I can appreciate this book for what it is. It’s beautifully written and I think that the representation is important. I did feel that Patroclus and Achilles were both difficult to root for and tbh, kind of annoying. I didn’t feel like there was anything on the line for them, which meant I wasn’t as invested. I’m glad I read this. I think it will be taught in English classes one day. It just wasn’t my favorite!
