sleepywhippetbookclub 's review for:
Dragonfly in Amber
by Diana Gabaldon
I have no words. I'm continuing to read on the excitement of friends but when they ask how I'm finding it with bated breath, I have to hurry onto the next topic of information.
Less rapey than the first book but still a large portion with more scenes and several sections recounting the rape from the last book.
Lots of fabulously rubbish bits like 'as still as a stone circle' and something along the lines of 'a glass of whisky and water, without the water' that had me giggling when they shouldn't have.
Honestly, I'm not sure why I'm still going with them. If they weren't on audiobook, I don't think I'd manage it.
