This book was extraordinary!

“ALL THE STORIES ARE TRUE.”

ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪ ʟɪᴋᴇᴅ:

Let’s start with the plot. Mad props to Cassandra Clare for even thinking of this sort of complex idea that we might be living in a world where demons roam around freely and we don’t even know it.

It’s also crazy to think of these characters. They had so much thought put into them and their stories. All of her characters had a life planned out for them.

The plot twist at the end (if you’ve read the book you’d know what I’m talking about) was so unexpected! I never would’ve seen it coming.

The writing was well done and very expansive. Cassandra Clare managed to throw a bunch of new information at you in a second while still keeping it elegant.




ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪ ᴅɪᴅɴᴛ ʟɪᴋᴇ:

I did not, and I mean DID NOT, like Clary as much I was hoping I would. At first I was rooting for her and supporting her decisions, but towards the middle I began growing tired of her. At the end of the book I could barely tolerate her.

Another thing I didn’t enjoy was the romance. I didn’t ship the girl with the guy and thought the guy deserved better than the girl.
