NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS is a gut punch of a book. It had me on the edge of my seat, and transported me right back to high school where every feeling was 100% more intense and I just wanted someone to notice when I was struggling.
I loved Jo-Lynn: she was messy and made poor decisions but she was real and followed her heart when it mattered. Often devastating, always wholly engrossing, Adamo writes a story with twists and turns that kept me guessing from the first page. Just when I thought I had one thing figured out, three more things that didn't make sense popped up. There was NEVER a dull moment in this story, and my heart hurt so much for Jo-Lynn as she cried out for help while no one listened.
A gripping, thrilling story with heart. Really enjoyed this one.
