The final book. I'm always surprised by how much shorter this book feels than the other two, though it isn't really. I also tend to forget how little of Aragorn and Arwen's story is actually contained in the main LOTR narrative, and that you have to dig into the appendices to find it. I have read this book out loud twice (though this time was just to myself) and both times I read about Aragorn and Arwen as the final chapter. It makes for a bittersweet ending, but I suppose the final chapter of the main narrative does as well.
