Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of this book. This book is in the same universe as The Fastest Way to Fail and can be read as a standalone. I always enjoy a romance that has depth and this one covers so much from sexism at the work place to racism. The second chance romance between Pearl and Cord was great with the slow burn and tension. I enjoyed the dual timeline and POV. I also enjoyed seeing Wes and Britta playing a role in this story.
