This wasn't bad. My first mystery in awhile. The beginning is kind of slow for me hence why it took me so long to finish it. But once I got down who all the characters were and the case was made a little clearer I got through it quickly. Jon and Andrea beating the bad guys was anti-climactic to be honest and I'm confused about how Gavin got out of this so cleanly. The love story threading through this was a surprise to me though thinking about it now, I don't know why. This kind of fiction is usually predictable as to what elements will be included. My conclusion is that its been so long since I've read this genre. It was a pleasant read overall. Nothing too over the top or in your face.
