The Astonishing Color of After
by Emily X.R. Pan
3.5 stars - I liked this book and the delicacy the author used when dealing with both mental health and loss but I do have to say that I found it a bit redundant in some parts. It’s still a pretty valid read and I loved the use of colours to describe emotions!
I also liked the fact that the romantic interest is not the main focus of the book because it really shouldn’t. I think the romance was cute and the book didn’t suffer from its introduction like I see happening in many other YA books. Overall, it’s a nice read but I usually give 4 stars to book I see myself rereading in the future and even though I enjoyed this one, I don’t see myself reading it again in the future :)
