I love the Haven Hart series and it was so good to be once again immersed in this world and I was fully hooked from from start to finish. This instalment cannot be read as a standalone as you need to have all the background information provided in Secret Simon to understand why Rush and Simon are being targeted. And targeted they are! Lots of drama and action as the Manos family and their familiar allies come together to face and bring down another crime boss.

Even with all the shootings, kidnapping, plotting and planning, Simon and Rush still find ways to strengthen their relationship. Sometimes it’s in hot and steamy encounters and other times it sweet, tender and intimate. Their journey together may include blood and mayhem but they do come out the other side and get their well deserved HEA.

I found this to be a really enjoyable read with enough twists and turns to keep things interesting. The theme of love for family, in whatever form, once again plays a major role as does the consequences when that love is eroded. So much fun having the Haven Hart characters back together fighting for family.
