Love in 3D
by Marie Harte
I really wanted to love this book, and there were parts of it I really enjoyed however I did spend half the time confused due to it being in 3rd pov and feeling a little disappointed.
After breaking up with her ex boyfriend, Justine moves into her aunts flat where she quickly becomes friends with the guy who lives below her, Xavier. To avoid being set up with a random guy for her sisters wedding, she lies to her mum and says she's dating Xavier, who agrees to "fake date" her to keep both their mum's off their back.
It was cute and funny and I really liked Justine and Xavier's friendship, how they were always there for each other and the banter between them. The spice was also really good.
The start felt slow and took me a while to get into this book, however the second half of the book picked up and I was able to get more into it. Contrasting to the slow start, the ending felt very rushed and it was wrapped up very quickly. In my opinion there were too many characters and there were times I had no clue who they were even talking about. I normally love the 'fake dating' trope but for the most part this just felt like they were actually dating and there was no pretending involved at all which left me feeling a little disappointed
