Thank you Ballantine and NetGalley for the eARC of The Madwomen of Paris! All opinions in this review are my own.
I'm going to be honest, I wasn't quite sure if I was going to like this book but the synopsis sounded intriguing. Although it starts slow, The Madwomen of Paris eventually becomes action-packed and verges on the edge of becoming a psychological thriller. I appreciate that the author is giving a voice to these women during a dark time in history and allowing them to take back some of the control they lost by being put in the asylum.
