Talking to Canadians
by Rick Mercer
What a wonderful book. It was funny, of course it was, it’s Rick Mercer. There’s just something about reading something so inherently Canadian when you are one. I loved how some of his experiences stretched across generations; it’s nice to know Canadians have always been conscripted for flexed arm hang. People’s lives are fascinating, and Rick’s was incredibly so. My favourite part of the book was the story about him and Jean Chrétien at Harvey’s. And the Christmas specials, of course.
