I spent the day wrapped in the story telling ability of Lark Taylor and loved every moment. Watching Chester reemerge from the broken lonely man that he is into the sweet, cheeky caring person that he once was delighted me no end. He’s like a flower from his shop slowly unfurling its petals to bloom again, similar to his self confidence emerging after years of abuse. Finlay spent decades and decades grieving for a lost love that didn’t even know they were a recipient of that love. He finally decides to let those feelings go by way of a floral tribute which brings him into Chester’s shop. With patience and the utmost kindness and respect in regard to Chester’s needs, Finlay slowly but surely gains Chester’s trust and love. 

Their romance is not as angst filled as previous books by this author but it’s not without some drama as these two wonderful men gain their longed for HEA. There’s also some appearances from the Southhampton crew who haven’t changed a bit!
