I've now read all four books in this series and while this iw probably my least favorite in the series, it's still so good and a great start to the Gold Rush Ranch saga. I loved Billie and Vaughn, particularly the tug of war they went through as enemies to lovers, and how much they hated each other without genuinely understanding each other. Eventually they learned that they were more alike than they thought and that they had more in common than they could really imagine. I loved Billie's journey with DD and the growth that not only the horse went through, but the growth she went through as well. Elsie Silver really knows how to write a small town romance and she is a master at writing smut that will make your toes curl. I'm honestly amazed that this was Elsie Silver's debut novel because it was so good.
