omqchristi 's review for:
Milk and Honey
by Rupi Kaur
Readability: 5/5
Plot: 3/5
Recommend: Yes
Milk and Honey takes the reader on a trip through abuse, love, heartbreak, and recovery through poetry and prose.
This book was an incredibly easy read. I originally thought this book was more lighthearted, but I am glad I was wrong.
I didn't give this book 4 stars because I feel like it was trying too hard to have a good message. It really reinforces the idea of loving yourself and prioritizing the good things.
I personally liked the formatting, but I can see how it might be odd, weird, or unnecessary for others.
Even though there is a plot (kind of), I gave it a 3 because there aren't really any details and it focuses more on a message rather than the events. It's not bad, but it's not great.
