Very powerful book. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is not the fault of the book, but just my difficulties with poetry. Although I still enjoyed it a lot, especially using the audiobook to listen to the way Elizabeth Acevedo meant the poems to be read, I still am just new to poetry and hopefully can read and learn more to come back and truly appreciate the book to its full potential.
