Am I the only one who thought that Mary was killed too early for the plot line to make sense?
Mary hadn't even officially inherited the £2k gift yet. There was nothing for the aunt to inherit at the time she was killed. I suppose the aunt could have made a claim after the trial if Elinor had been found guilty. It just seems like that would have been far more complicated than revealing Mary as the true heir, waiting for Mary to officially inherit everything, and then killing her afterwards. Just seemed a bit of a weak point to the story
