You Keep Breaking Us
by Carrie Aarons
4.5 stars really.
This is the couple that fought through the other stories, so it was one that I began wanting them back together, but not knowing if it was a good idea. And as the story went along, there were moments when I thought that maybe I should be happy for them if they had to find happiness outside of each other. But still, I had to root for them and hope and pray they could figure things out. Because sometimes it is nice to have a couple that has issues yet they are able to figure things out, and this author shows it being done in a healthy way. With therapy. Realizing that they have to stand up for themselves, but also at times realizing they have to take a breath and think for a minute before they react at times. I loved that therapy didn’t necessarily change the personality and make them into a whole new person, it just helped them to see how to deal with things, and deal with the past in a way making them able to move on.
I loved the realistic story this was. Also having time with all the other characters from the other books was nice as well. I love standalone series like this. I don’t know if there are any more, but I feel like Scott really needs a story. And not with that horrible girl from the comedy club who was so rude to Bevan.
