Maus: A Survivor's Tale: My Father Bleeds History
by Art Spiegelman
gorgeous and harrowing through and through. i loved the manner in which the art enhanced the story and vice versa, though i feel i haven't engaged in enough graphic novels to truly comment. for this being only the first half of the tale, i'm terrified for what will follow. this was an introduction to this time period that i had never before delved into and i'm so happy this story in this medium exists.
perfect to read in dc prepping for the holocaust museum but also trying to remain afloat on chocolate croissants and cardamom lattes
