I understand the author's intention to address mental health issues through the story, but it was executed in a rather boring and unconvincing way. Most of the book felt like a waiting game for it to finally end. The entire narrative was quite predictable, with only one twist that slightly surprised me, but even that felt implausible.

The events and character development lacked clear motivation and were generally underdeveloped. All the characters sounded the same. Murray's perspective and the events involving Sarah felt entirely unnecessary, as did the mother’s perspective, which was meant to mislead the reader but ended up feeling redundant.

Overall, the book did not live up to its potential. 2.5 stars.
