A Hope Divided by Alyssa Cole
3.0

I'm really enjoying Alyssa Cole's romances! She's a fantastic writer who can weave an page turning plot with intriguing characters. I adored Marlie, and though she was a wonderful heroine. She had such an amazing arc of coming into an understanding of herself and identity, reconciling her life with her country. Plus, science and medicine minded heroines are always fun! Unfortunately, Ewan was a bit of a let down. I wasn't necessarily anti-Ewan, but there were points where I kind of supported Marlie wanting to walk away and leave him behind (but this could be more about me than the book!). I don't begrudge a HEA, but I didn't feel super compelled by Ewan or find him particularly worthy of Marlie
I will say, I do like that he was a virgin since NOTHING about his character indicated he had any intimate experiences

I'm REALLY looking forward to Daniel's book, because I think he certainly deserves a happy ending after everything he's been through.
