Tilly and the Bookwanderers
by Anna James
it’s a very well done book for children and adults alike.
i loved how this book explores what reading can be and bring into your life -outside the fictional version this book follows of actually wander in book- and how it’s a good idea to read outside your typical comfort books and try new stories.
i loved how it didn’t shy away from being written well and not choosing simple words but rather make it a book that children will very likely learn with because they discover new words.
i really liked the family dynamics and the friendship.
i didn’t love how the wandering aspects turned out -which was not surprising but still a bit sad to me to have it go that way but that’s a personal preference and i am sure children will absolutely love how the story goes and most likely not see it coming from the second the mom is mentioned.
i didn’t like the “bad guy” in this and didn’t find him necessary at all. i think this entire story could have worked very well without that. but again a personal preference of not finding the need to have a person to blame to make a story good.
i understand why it’s here and it’s not badly done but i think it would have been done just as well without him.
all in all?
super fun and great book.
defiantly a wonderful book that readers of all ages will enjoy and it’s a great one to read aloud i would think.
